About Knova Corgis

Knova's Corgis have been and will continue to be wonderful pets and companion for their owners.

[the update tab contains updates from the families of our adopted corgis (currently down for editing)]

Several of my corgis are finished AKC Champions, which has earned me a coveted title; Breeder of Merit, from AKC.

I have been showing for over fifteen years. I plan on continuing successfully showing and earning titles on my corgis. My corgis also work towards performance titles. Those titles include: herding titles, Canine Good Citizen (CGC, CGCA, CGCU), FAST Cat, Barn Hunt, rally, obedience, agility and trick dog. Each corgi has it's own area where it really shines. They don't have the same talents, it's my job as their breeder, to point them towards the life where their star will shoot right to the top!
In fact, some of our corgis are burdened with glorious purpose...and those special floofs are future service dogs (SDs) and emotional support companions (ESA). After leaving the military, I was suffering from severe PTSD, and Sadi saved my life. She was my first Service Dog. All Knova Corgis can trace their lineage to her. She wasn't a show champion, but she was mine. She was the best mother, friend, and companion anyone could have hoped for and I am so grateful to see her again in each generation. Her smile and silliness are her most dominate traits.
In my breeding program, I strive to produce corgis within the breed standard and with sound temperaments. All of the Pembroke Welsh Corgis that are included in my breeding program have been health tested in accordance with the requirements from the PWCCA (Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America). They are certified free of inherited eye problems by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF) and certified free of hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and have been DNA tested for von Willebrand's Disease (vWD) and Degenerative Myopathy (DM).

All [prospective adoptive] families are asked to answer my Puppy Questionnaire, available in the 'Puppies' tab. Whether you are looking to adopt a puppy or get on my waitlist for an adult, you will need to fill out a puppy questionnaire. Each home is carefully screened and puppies placed in homes best suited for both them and the new owners. All pets are sold as AKC Limited Registration with a health and spay/neuter contract.

For information on available Corgis check in the 'Puppies' tab. I have a waitlist for puppies and adults. Please be aware that the placement of an adult is very rare. We truly love our corgis and only place an adult when it is in their best interest. As much as we want to keep everyone forever, the occasional corgi will desire a quieter home as they age.
Please consider reaching out to us about 6 months or more before deciding to add a corgi to your family and be prepared to wait. We would all love if things happened on our schedule, but this is one thing that doesn't. Sometimes it does and that is amazing for everyone involved. However, the average family will end up waiting 9-10 months on average, at any preservation breeder. A planned litter can end up not happening for a number of reasons, but that doesn't mean you lose your spot. Once you submit the puppy questionnaire and your non-refundable deposit, there will be a puppy for you.
